Josh Leviner

Chief Political Strategist | Veteran Leader |

Born and raised in Richmond County and now a proud resident of Moore County, Josh brings a lifetime of public service and local experience to state and local politics. His career began in the U.S. Navy as an intelligence professional, followed by 16 years in law enforcement as a Major Crimes Detective, where he worked closely with local communities and courts to protect public safety and uphold the rule of law. He later served two terms as a Magistrate Judge, gaining firsthand insight into how state laws and local policies directly affect communities.

A firm believer in constitutional governance and civic education, Josh holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Western Carolina University and a Master’s degree in Public Administration, Law, and Public Policy from Liberty University. He has taught Criminal, Civil, and Constitutional Law at Richmond Community College and Sandhills Community College, helping prepare the next generation.

As a small business owner in Moore County and a member of the NAIFA–NC Government Relations Committee, he understands how state regulations and local decisions shape economic opportunity and community growth. His approach to political strategy is rooted in practical governance, respect for local control, and building policies that work for people where they live.

Outside of public life, Josh serves as a worship leader at Elevation Church and is a devoted husband and father of four children, three on earth and one in heaven. Guided by North Carolina’s state motto, Esse Quam Videri (“To be rather than to seem”), he believes effective leadership at the state and local level starts with authenticity and service to the community.
